Honestly, if you are desperate to fly in CW, then paying for it is going to be only sure way of getting it. No one can predict for certain what the price will do, so if what's on offer is affordable and acceptable, then book it. If not, then don't. What more is there to be said?
I'm pretty sure repeatedly asking basically the same question has been known to make the upgrade cheaper
