Yes you do have saving, but not as much as you calculated because you did not figure in the lost points. If you are not P75 you might not lose as much, but for me the additional loss is
$1600 x 6 points (4 for P75 and 2 for AX) - $360 x 2 points (AX) = 8880 points. @28 cents the cost is $247, making your total cost around $1279.
even after that i feel the saving is justified....i would rather save $300-350 as against earning 8-9k points....most of the properties i stay in will get me zero nights with 9k points but will get me a night or two for $350....
