I am curious about other folks' success with this technique. A friend in my office called BA about this last week, and was told by the CSA that this technique wouldn't work, that he would not be able to add a return flight to his outbound flight and that his 2-4-1 voucher would be deemed to have been consumed. He hung up, called back, and was given the same anser by a different CSA.
Anyone else have experience with this? I will be doing a booking next month, so this is not a hypothetical question for me....
