What if I have 2 bags allowance on my flights, but I ask them to check it only to my first stop. Then the next day I go back to LHR and ask them to check it to my destination which is AMS. Will they ask me to pay for the second bag?
It's not weight, but number of pieces that varies by class of travel, status etc. However the BA rule is that you get the most generous allowance on a multi-sector trip. if you have a problem at checkin, simply tell them to look at your other sectors.
