I would greatly appreciate the wisdom of this board: my wife and I had to change baec award tix due to a schedule change on cx, the operating carrier for this leg of the award. I just want to make sure that the ticket has been reissued correctly because, based on recent threads, i understand that if the ticket is not properly reissued, I could have a problem when I go to check in with cx.

I notice that in the email confirming the flight change, my ticket number is different from the prior ticket number. Does that mean the ticket was properly reissued? Or does that indicate an error? Is there anything else I should do to make sure everything is ok? (the reservation shows up in cx's system and I have successfully assigned seats but I've read just enough to know that seat assignments are not dispositive.)

This is a big trip so I want to do everything I can rip make ut go smoothly and I appreciate any advice/insight you can offer!
