The restaurant is called Cafe Med. It has a mixed 'cuisine', and a large selection of wines and beers. If you have a chance of dining (or having breakfast) on the patio, take it! In Chicago, the next day may be too windy, hot or cold. Patio is situated very nicely on a quiet street with just enough traffic both on foot as on wheels. Continental breakfast isn't bad at all, but maybe not for a couple of days in a row. Otherwise, the 25% rebate on the main breakfast menu (instead of taking continental) is not a very good deal. Tried one item from the breakfast menu and was charged extra for both coffee and orange juice. So I ended up paying a lot. While the same coffee and juice came free with the Continental Breakfast. Cafe Med has a happy hour, I believe from 5-7, two-for-one drinks, a very popular event. The Med sells gift cards on their website, a $25 purchase will get you a $50 credit.
Did someone else notice the "daily" specials are the same every day or did they just give me the wrong list?
The building's other corner had a new restaurant opening up, a Japanese or Oriental style restaurant, it must be open by now.
