For some reason the Seat Guru website and also the Seat Expert website both display domestic aircraft for these flights (UA 62 EWR-MAD and UA 63 MAD-EWR). Expert Flyer displays different aircraft.

Thank you again. Not too bummed. Per Expert Flyer each flight still has 4 or 5 of 16 First Class seats still available. I prefer the lower possibility of upgrading to a lie flat seat to the greater possibility of upgrading to a recliner seat. Keeping my fingers crossed!
What would have told you that you were not looking at a domestically configured flight is counting the seats in the front cabin. You were looking at a seat map with 16 seats; there is no United 757-200 with only 16 domestic first class seats.

The pre-merger United Airlines operates a 757-200 with 24 "domestic first" seats and 158 seats mixed among Economy and Economy Plus. This aircraft did not operate transatlantic international flights and probably never will.

The pre-merger Continental Airlines operates a 757-200 with 16 lie-flat "BusinessFirst" seats and 153 seats mixed among Economy and Economy Plus. This aircraft frequently operates transatlantic flights, but only with Continental-subsidiary pilots and flight crew.

Yes, it's pretty sneaky!

Whenever I'm having trouble telling which Seatguru/Seatexpert configuration is the right one, I always count the seats.
