I actually really like the little room at LHR since you don't have to drag bags through the terminal. You can get let off right near the entrance and it's really like curbside checkin but with a roof and walls..
I just find the counterflow where you have to push past the pax checking in to see the security people, and then past them again to get to an available check-in counter annoying. It would be much better if the entrance were at the narrow end!

Oh don't worry, that only happened once! I was amazed, though about the crowds. Why weren't they all in the BA or CX lounges?
