Any recent reports? I will be traveling to Tri-Cities a lot as my parents are moving back. The DT seems to have better rates much of the time compared to the Hampton Inn in Kingsport and especially the one in Bristol.

as you probably already know, there's some distance between all three cities in the area. i don't think i'd stay here if your parents were legit in bristol or kingsport. if they're near the midpoint, then no worries.
