It is typical (and I use that word reluctantly with the Doubletree brand) of many of the reflagged properties that became Doubletrees somewhere along the way:
- full service with restaurant, lounge, and exec lounge
- pool
- a little older exterior that could use some cleaning and other maintenance
- interior up to brand standards but knowledgeable and discriminating FlyerTalkers wouldn't confuse it for a Hilton
- not the greatest location given the way many small American cities tend to decay and sprawl as they age, but not reason for worry here
I picked it because it had a very small price premium to the Hampton Inn, and I would certainly do it again if faced with that circumstance.
