Just flew FRA-LAX a couple weeks ago - 3 in my family in business. Did not have the issue of the economy folks in our cabin (and we were also in the rear of the 2 biz sections), but the rest was similar. Very slow service. I got stuck with the vegetarian option as they ran out of the other options. Flight attendants were nice enough when I asked for something, but had to get up and go find them to ask for a drink vs. them checking in on us.
It was a fine flight that got us from point A to point B relatively on time. But for some reason I had it in my head that traveling LH in J would be nicer than my usual AA or UA international experiences. More like my AF CDG-LAX flight this past January where the service was so attentive I wrote a thank you email. It fell short of my wife's and my expectations.
