So I called a Residence Inn and inquired about the fee. They said it was a non refundable sanitation fee for cleaning the room post stay. She compared it to someone smoking in the room and them having to clean it so the next person staying was allergic to said pets would not have issues.
I doubt they clean the rooms so well someone allergic to a dog would not have any reactions.
Justified fee I suppose.
we've had similar threads on this subject but yes the hotel is required to do a professional clean of everything (drapes, carpets etc) after the pet departs...doesn't matter if the pet is there 1 night or 999 nights
