LH wet-lease to Dubai extended until September

The wet-lease agreement with Lufthansa on the VIE-DXB route has been extended.

A Lufthansa A-340-300 (Reg: D-AIGM) is currently scheduled to operate OS839/840 until Sep 10, replacing the OS 767's.

And in the coming days and weeks OS will also suffer from another problem as one of the four 777's in the fleet was damaged when it was towed into the hangar two days ago. While the plane is under repair – which should take about two weeks – the flights to JFK (OS87/88) will be operated by 767's. According to Austrian no cancellations or major schedule changes are currently expected. (I doubt it though, as I don't think that they have any backup planes if something else goes wrong!)
