As an example, when I inquired with Kuala Lumpur on the upgrade scheme for rooms. KL IC sent me back a list of what they do for Ambassadors, RA's and Platinums. I realize that lots of people complain about KL IC, but their program is straight forward....spend an extra 10 bucks get Lounge ect or spend an extra 50 and truely get rewarded in room category. Im not saying all do this, but it does happen....just like more than 1 level upgrades for ambassadors and 2 level upgrades for RA's. Just recieved both from Singapore on different stays.

PS alrvd83. Im not comparing the Ambassador level to HH Diamond, not the same level. I love my Hilton as well..... I return to the hotels that take care of me, always choose the IC Singapore over the Hilton....no comparison on suite upgrades. Hilton KL Sentral is great, they truely treat you well. Message is to reward locations that take care of us. Hotels do vary, so I dont want to count on 1 system.....we must keep them honest!
