Direct in WT+ or with a connection in CW?
If you were faced with a choice due to budget constraints:

Option 1: Fly direct in WT+

Option 2: Fly to a nearby point in CW using UUA and then connect onto a BA partner after a couple-of-hours' wait

Fares for both options are more-or-less the same.

Which would you choose in each of the following cases?!

Case 1: Your itinerary involves a choice of day flights to the US west coast

Case 2: Your itinerary involves a choice of overnight flights to the Far East
