BigLar, since this is an ORD-DUB redemption, consider using your Avios on Aer Lingus: http://boardingarea.com/blogs/onemil...ory/openskies/. Lucky doesn't mention the amount of tax, fees, and surcharges on an economy redemption but since they're $150 for a business-class award, I'd have to believe they might be lower for an economy seat. Plus, same amount of Avios required. You'll need to call BA to make the redemption since Aer Lingus availability is not displayed on ba.com.

On a side note, I have to laugh a bit when I see all the "aspirational" bloggers raving about what a great time they've had in Dublin (The Points Guy also made a trip earlier this year, also using Avios on Aer Lingus). Gosh, I guess the Maldives aren't the only place in the world where you can have a great trip!
