Update for those interested...

I stayed in July 2012. (second stay)

Executive lounge is open again.

Pool - as described.

Noise - facing North (towards Bangkok/ you can see the pool) club noise is a problem. Facing South (towards Pattaya sign) was not a problem.

Breakfast - very good breakfast buffet. Not great, but very good.

Club lounge - cold if you are in shorts and a polo.

Overall - very convenient - 10 baht gets you where you want to go. Very stylish. Not built for practicality - no outlet next to bed.

If you go... ask for a room facing south for quiet. grab snacks at the 7-11 next door or in the basement of the mall grocery store.
