Confiscated items flying into MIR (Monastir, Tunisia)
So this friend of mine flew into Monastir for a week's holiday with her husband and three girls (aged 10, 10 and 12). Unbeknown to her, her husband had packed a number of, erm, marital aids in his luggage for evening entertainment.
They arrived at MIR and all of the luggage came out on the carousel apart from his. They were left standing alone in the luggage hall when a swarthy security guard approached them and asked if they were looking for a green case. They followed him into an examination room where the (literally) offending items where lined up on a steel table where the girls could see them. He told them that items like this are not allowed in Tunisia and handed them a chit so they could reclaim them on their way home.
They rejoined there package holiday transfer group on the coach and were halfway to Hammamet when their eldest girl said in a loud voice, "Mummy, did you and Daddy have the handcuffs because you were going to play cops and robbers?".
They were too embarrassed to reclaim their "toys" on the way home...
