FF account changes are done when you mail the copy of the marriage certificate in. My wife traveled only on her passport until it expired and when she renewed with her married name also changed her FF accounts at that time. Carrying a copy of marriage certificate is a good idea though and usually solves any issues.
We will not be flying internationally for this trip or any trip in the next 6 months. So there won't be any passport changes needed. So you're saying she could just use her passport (with her old name) and book the flight with her old name as well? Are there any TSA/airline issues we could run into if she's traveling using her old name even though her name is legally changed?
