Remember, it's random - there's no guarantee you will get it (and, if the system is working, there should be times you don't!).

However, I was batting about 9x% rate then dropped to 0%. On a hunch, I went into my profile and noticed my trusted traveler number had disappeared. After I re-added it, I got the blessed "3 beeps" the next flight. YMMV.
