Tier Qualifying Points (TQP)
I'm confused as to the points earned displayed when booking a flight versus the actual TQP awarded. 
Example:
An Anytime flight from BWI to LAX displays $534 and 5,120 points. However, the amount deposited to my account is always less. I understand the difference between CPQP, TQP and Available Points.
Your advice on these arcane rules is always welcome
