Although I am confused about one part. Where are you getting one way prices this low for an international trip? Better yet, where are you getting one way prices?
I am referring to the one-way prices (30K/50K). When I search, I am searching for a one-way award in J for 100K miles. If it will give me that, it should allow me to combine it with the existing low-mileage trip I have booked.

As regards the reissue desk - shouldn't the initial phone agent be able to quote the miles required?
