Aah I suspect that in Belgium though they actually expect you to board the train. They don't in this case they actively try and discourage it hence the platform sign that says "Please stand clear the next train is not scheduled to stop here"

Indeed they do, the trains where it says "niet instappen" (do not board) are usally trains that have broken down (happens frequently) or are waiting to be moved to a depot.
