Wife and I used the elemis spa at JFK in April. We managed to blag the last two spaces before they closed at 9pm and the flight left around 10pm. Using the sleeper service we helped ourselves to a meal including the infamous curry and beverages before our massage. I had to wait for my massage while wife had hers then we swapped.
When we came out (straight into the lounge) you feel so guilty stood there while everyone was staring at you probably cursing you as we blagged the last spots that i felt obliged to tip...not a reason i guess
Slightly OT whilst i was sat to one side away from the lounge waiting for the wife, a lady who finished her treatment came out thanked staff. Nothing untoward there until staff simply opened a curtain i assumed was to cover over a false wall of some kind.....only for an escalator to be sat there. The lady walked down that and it was even signposted at that point to the gate.....when it was time to walk to the gate i was tempted to nip down the "secret escalator"!
Anyone else know what im talking about? And why the lounge in JFK and infact JFK isnt improved ive no idea. Its not a great example of a BA lounge IMO.
