It's also not clear which jobs should be tipped and which aren't. I'm sure if you grew up in the US it's all second nature and you probably can't understand why we don't follow your system. But to a frequent visitor the unwritten rules on tipping are inconsistent and confusing.
I was born in the US and have lived there all my life. But I still haven't figured out all of the expected tipping etiquette.
I work as a technical trainer. If there is a tipping expectation for all providers of personal services, perhaps I should set out a tip jar at the front of my classes...
