if the casinos are not owned by Marriott and are independently owned/operated and only pay rent/lease, why would you hold Marriott liable??...................... my clients have high end jewlery shops in their hotels operating under independent operation agreements, but in no way would the hotel be liable if they were selling fakes........... if really interested in knowing what the law is, suggest you find out what Indemnity Clauses are and you'll then know how to CYA.........

I have found MAJOR issues with several of the casinos (meaning it is a marriot wide problem/policy in the carribean). I have been shocked to find out that many of casinos are not affiliated with Marriott at all. Sadly I have seen standards destroyed and literally seen Cheating take place and un- punished. I have heard biz is down 50% at these hotels/casinos and honestly wouldn't be surprised if Marriott discontinues casinos all together.
Something better be done soon before Marriott faces MAJOR Lawsuits.
