When you say international transit hotel, is that the one before immigration, airside, or is it one of the many hotels after immigration?

Security would not have an issue with you camping, but there is not much to do. A few restaurants, bars and that is it. Try and get a hotel room at City Lodge, southern sun, or even the formula one hotel.
