The honorable thing?

I was asked to turn off my properly-positioned reading light on a 14-hour flight to Beijing after a neighbor complained she was unable to get to sleep. I told the FA I had a presentation to prepare. I refused the FA's request. Amazingly the pilot did not divert, FAMs did not intervene and Beijing security did not detain. Livin' on the edge, baby.
