I'd stick with Air France all the way. My personal experience is that most European carriers have transatlantic service that is far better than US carriers. You should earn MQMs unless you are flying on an award ticket. Also, if you have a SkyBonus account you can earn those points as well by booking a code share ticket through Delta for travel on Air France metal. Same is true for KLM.
