After lunch, it is time to get another shower... Bath? Shower? Bath? Shower? Singaporeans are more accustomed to showers, so I end up taking a shower instead of a bath. Any photographs here are maintained strictly for PG audiences
So this duck was waiting for me...
Plus the toiletries:
Next, back to the dayroom. Unfortunately not to snooze, but to continue uploading photos and thinking of what to write.
Before long, it was time to leave. Now, my only complaints are that i) LH fed me too much on LH437/LH79, so I didn't have enough space in the tummy to properly raid the LH FCT, and ii) a 5h layover in the FCT when you're on "holiday" is just too darn short. I could've stayed longer, indulged in more desserts and more food, but I had to leave. (Now I'll need to get more UA/US miles! Hopefully the 100% bonus promotion for purchasing US miles comes by once again, even better if it appears during the Grand Slam period, assuming that US will offer a Grand Slam this year. *Fingers crossed*)
There were 3 of us passengers on LH712 in the FCT - me in F and 2 other elite LH frequent flyers in C (HON?). Ground staff decided on sending us to the plane in a Mercedes van, which was kind of

because I was all for the Porsche Panamera. The 2 other passengers in C were late, and I just happened to show a sad face (aww), and the ground staff somehow decided to switch the Mercedes van to a Panamera, which completely made my day (no, I did not become a jerk, I politely asked - was fine by me to go to the plane in the Mercedes van if it was scheduled to be so). I appreciate their willingness to go the extra mile!
So here's the Panamera:
The driver takes us through all the way to Gate C16, which I figure is the furthest gate away from the FCT that is in LH territory. Lovely. Today's plane that will take us all the way to Seoul-Incheon is an A340-600, registration D-AIHI, nicknamed "Moenchengladbach". That was pretty amusing because one of the FAs on the previous flight mentioned that his hometown was in Mönchengladbach. And the only thing I know about Mönchengladbach is that it has a soccer team. Other than that, when I boarded as the last passenger, I found out that I was the only passenger in F! Flying solo does rock!!! (Of course, after this trip, I think that it will be tough for me to fly out of FRA in anything other than LH F)
D-AIMG, an LH A380 inbound from PEK, was parked 2 gates away from D-AIHI. What a big momma she is. There's a difference between viewing an A380 from a viewing gallery or from a plane as compared to viewing it from the tarmac itself.
Unfortunately, when I booked my ticket, there was no F availability on the LH A380s from FRA-PEK or FRA-NRT

I would've jumped at the thought of flying F on an LH A380

but well, there's always other firsts. This trip was my first time flying an A340-300 and an A340-600, so it wasn't that all wasted. Well, the F seats may be older, but they're sure as heck still comfortable for sleeping! And the LH flight attendants... They were as equally superb on LH437 as they were on LH79 and LH712!
Nuts and more Laurent Perrier are served, and we take off slightly after 6.30pm from FRA with a faster rate of climb than D-AIGV, the A340-300 that took me to DUS.
