The NY Hilton used to be a Hilton flagship property in the 70's. Current issues there start with the ownership group and work there way down. If the owners don't support the GM or if the GM is incompetent then what you get today is the result.

You're from US, right? I am comparing Hilton properties in Asia and Europe to Four Seasons and Ritz Carltons in US. Totally different thing. There're way better Hiltons (especially Conrads) outside the US, than these "luxury chains" are in US.
