Some car rental companies might make a fuss over insurance depending on your coverage/state.

Some states (Florida for exampe) have woefully low minimum third party liability coverage and is below the legal minimum for insurance in Quebec.

I'm not familiar with what minimums come automatically by virtue of having the rental.

Your own insurance company should be able to provide this information.
