Is this fitness center hotel owned/operated? You are correct if it is hotel owned/operated all silvers and above are to be given free access. If the hotel fitness center isn't hotel owned/operated that isn't the case. Back when I was gold the Palmer house charged me to use the fitness center (can't remember the amount but it wasn't over $10 and it is the best hotel fitness center I have ever been in and the fee was based on your HH Level) and all my stays as a diamond it has been complimentary. If the NY Hilton fitness center is owned by the hotel then I am REALLY angry that they tried charging me. Even if a hotels fitness center isn't hotel owned the hotel should have a deal in place with their fitness center that they won't be charging a fee to diamonds.
