Gift MQM's With Delta Amex
I know that you get a 15,000 bonus of MQM's when you reach the spend thresholds on the reserve card and you can keep them or gift them to a family member or a friend. Can you do the same thing with the Platinum Card? I fly enough to reach gold each year and I have been pretty successful with the upgrade process. My dad has a delta platinum card and reaches the 25k spend threshold each year. I was thinking of taking his bonus MQM's and gifting them to myself so I could then gift him silver status so when he takes a trip he can get an exit row and the possible upgrade. This 10k bonus would make me a Platinum.
