Just became Virgin platinum
seems to me there is no real advantage other than the 4 upgrades( where one has to buy a premium ticket)
Their international booking engine has not been working for a out a month so i called to get availability

First they didnt bother to call back as they said they would.
then when I got on I was transferred to manila or somewhere overseas and the girl whom I could not understand or hear then tells me no seats

there seems to be no way to request international seats like Qantas even as plat.

can someone tell me what is good about plat when you can get row 3 as gold?
