Hi, I'm new to FT (lurker for years )... my fiance and I are currently in the middle of booking our honeymoon in Bali in September. We are going to split the trip into 3 stays (2, 4, 3 nights) and are considering our last leg of the trip in Ubud. We're currently looking at either a duplex suite or garden villa at the FS Sayan, or Komaneka at Tanggayuda in a Courtyard Pool Villa.

There is a great rate for the garden villa at FS Sayan for 435/night, which is on the upper end of our budget. For much less, we can stay at Komaneka and get a lot more value for our money.

Does FT have any recommendations? Neither of us are luxury hotel people (we've never stayed at a four seasons before) but we definitely can appreciate the nicer things in life, especially when there is such a large discount on the room. The property looks amazing and we don't mind the hotel feel. However I am worried that meals will not be very good and will cost a fortune.

Tripadvisor reviews seem to say that the food is decent at Komaneka (and reasonably priced) while the food at the FS is ridiculously priced and not that good. Is this true?
