OK. Here goes.

Both Questions have to do with the 15K MQMs awarded after a $30K spend with the DL Reserve card. Assume my cutoff date is the 10th of the month and I hit my $30K on the 20th of December, so the statement is generated on Jan 10th , 2013. In both cases I am really hoping the answer is 2013. ^^

Question #1: “Joe” wants to finish 2012 with 123,000 MQMs so he starts 2013 as a PM with 48,000 rollover miles. If I gift Joe 15K MQMs on January 20, 2013 does he vault to 63K MQMs or are the MQMs applied to his 2012 total (since I earned them in 2012), in which case I have totally screwed up Joe’s plans since he would then be a DM with only 12K rollover miles.

Question #2. I don’t assign the MQM’s to anyone. My 90 days run and the MQMs are deposited to my account on or about April 10th. Are they treated as 2012 miles and my year end totals recomputed or do they just show up and are treated as 2013?

I have seen threads dealing with the plat card but nothing regarding the Reserve card that really gave me an answer.
