My family and I have a 1-night layover at HKG enroute to DPS from ORD. We reach HKG at 20:00 and leave for DPS the following day at 10:00. I hold a reservation at the W for that night that I had made sometime back for 12,500 points.

However, I am now wondering if it is going to be worth the trip all the way down to Kowloon just for the night. Instead, I am considering perhaps booking the Regal Airport (that will cost me around $170) and put the 12,500 points towards something else. Further, we are anyways staying at Hong Kong for 2 nights on our return trip (not at the W, though).

Please trust me, I have the read the numerous other threads on similar topics, and feel guilty about asking this question. But I am honestly confused and would like for someone to nudge me one way or the other.

PS: How long does it generally take to clear customs and immigration at HKG and to get to the airport express station at the airport?
