Another FA decides to take a photo with me in my pyjamas:

The caviar and the other 3 appetizers, topped off with a splash of Smirnoff Red vodka:

The vodka was pretty strong; Ms H asked me if I wanted more and I declined, saying it was strong, to which she replied "then it's gonna help you sleep well!" Awww

The salad

The cod

The 2 desserts, a green tea layer cake and a banana pudding:

Pralines to seal the deal

Time to hit the sack!

It was a pretty good flat bed seat. I slept for about 3h and dozed the last hour before getting up to get into some breakfast action.

An American breakfast

Washed down with a cappucino (and more rose petals!)

Finally, we landed in DUS at 0833, taxied to the gate, and it was time to scram outta the plane. Boohoo. Here's me with Mr K and Ms H:

Mr K talked to the pilots, who allowed me to be a complete tourist geek in the cockpit! Didn't touch anything in there, just took photos:

Good thing there was only one exit through Door 2L, so the 2 of us geeky tourist clowns (me and the guy from Seat 1K) in F could be complete media harlots. His camera battery had some problems and he couldn't take pictures, so I was taking a few for him.

Upon deplaning, cleared passport control to get into the Senator Lounge together with the guy from Seat 1K, who was connecting on to LHR to meet some Olympic athletes. How cool can that get? This is the guy from Seat 1K:

Yay, I now have a passport stamp for entry and exit out of Germany! Just to use the First Class Terminal...

My final thoughts on this flight: 1) too short for sleeping, as are many other evening transatlantic flights except those that depart from the West Coast and the East Coast. The flight attendants love doing what they are doing - Mr K was talking about the new F on the 343s and 346s that were stationed in Munich, and how they were much better than the old F on this bird with larger inflight entertainment screens. He also left fantasies in my brain about flying the 747-8i and the A380 in F... If it can happen one day! But still, the food portions were GINORMOUS, and I would say flying Lufthansa F exceeded everything I expected it to be. Didn't even use the inflight entertainment system, though it did look a little small for F in comparison with other airlines in J. The seat was great, the flight attendants were excellent, and I just didn't want to get off the plane, though we had to when the ground staff wanted to close the gate.

Ok, I'm a little lazy at this point. Too many pictures to post of the Lufthansa First Class Terminal in Frankfurt! Will save it for another time; stay tuned!
