Just a quick note to say "Thank You" to the moderators for creating the AA Help Desk threads, as well as to the knowledgeable posters on this thread. Living in DEN with Summit status on F9, I could have chosen either UA or AA for a status challenge. The incredible detail found in the AA Help Desk made my decision an easy one.

With exactly ZERO miles in my AAdvantage account, I spoke with one of their reps this afternoon who immediately conferred Gold status on AA based on my F9 status and I begin my Platinum challenge Aug. 1. I look forward to checking AA out.
