I hear you and believe your experience. I get treated at LAS the way National treats you at JFK. And the coastal divide may be an issue, as almost all my rentals are west coast: PDX, LAS, LAX or other SoCal airports.

I'm with Hertz because I pay out of pocket, and Hertz usually wins on price -- if you know the right PCs and the right ways to work the reservations system. Trust me, though, I jump through some hoops that the ordinary business traveller would not consider worth their time.

Combined with generally decent service and occasionally outstanding service, nobody can provide a better value for me than Hertz.
