Not to high-jack the thread, but why must one go through a security check after exiting an aircraft, but before going through the T5 shopping mall to another aircraft?
Screening in other countries is not/may not be up to the strict DfT standards in the UK. The DfT mandates that all entering the restricted zone are screened.
