As for everyone who says "Delta will never spend the money"... technology is constantly changing and this is as good an item as any other to make it at least to the "feature request list" for their SkyClub software. That said, this kind of customer awareness feature will be coming eventually anyway since another airline is doing it today. I'm sure this has been posted on FT before but for reference again: British Airways to Google for photos of high value passengers in order to greet them by name . They're being criticized for it now, but what if I "opt-in" to such a service, for example by "Friending" Delta on Facebook - which gives them access to my profile photos. Integrations with social networking are already coming to high-touch customer service scenarios like Call Centers, for example, Cisco SocialMiner. This is the way of the future.... you're kids are going to love it.
Except that, Of course if you did that here in the US, you know some group would be filing some class action law suit about how storing your picture is a violation of their privacy....
