Here is a brief review of AC Malaga. It is located centrally, right next to the Cathedral and close to the main shopping/dining/tourist destinations. Many of the rooms have a nice view of the water and others have a view of the Cathedral. The lobby is not existent, but there are plenty of lounging sofas once you enter the hotel and walk past the elevators. There is limited street parking and the hotel has a limited number of valet parking spots for 23 euros a night. There is a separate breakfast room on the 2nd floor and a restaurant on the 15th floor. MR Platinums do not get free breakfast. As for free wifi, they give you 24 hour wifi cards for the number of nights you are staying. There is a free minibar in the rooms, stocked daily with water, juice, soda and beer. There is no in-room safe, but they do have individual small safes for use by guests adjacent to the front desk, where you can lock your valuables and take the key with you. There is no iron/ironing board and you can not request one. The only way to get your shirt ironed is to have the hotel maid iron it for you and the rates start at 5.5 euros a shirt just for the ironing service. There is a gym on the 15th floor as well, though I did not check it out. Overall as a Category 3 hotel, I would say it falls somewhere in between your typical FS Marriott and a CY.
