While that is why I want OP to double check with MPO because of the peculiar routing, I see nothing on AM's T&C or AM Award Chart that prevents OP from claiming such award. I was also able to use AM's Flight Award Finder to get a 60000mi quote for HKG-TPE-HKG-LHR-HKG all on CX in Y (only 4 segments allowed), although admittedly the tool does not differentiate stopovers from transits.
