They may be trying to charge the offline booking fee. I would ask for a full breakdown of the costs and work out what they are charging. I have found if you push hard enough, you should not pay the offline fee as it is impossible to MFU a multi-city ticket on BA.com. If you don't get the agent willing to waive the fee, hang up and try again.
