Enjoyed my 4 days at the SW for a mini vaca. Was given the KAI suite upgrade. It looks directly over Waikiki beach and Diamondhead. The suite was nicely renovated but the furniture was a bit 80ish.

Hotel was extremely busy with Japanese visitors and weddings. There really was alot of activity. Second night returned to the hotel at 2am to witness the tail end of a midnight wedding!! New Dawson station convenience store by the elevators with togo prepared foods.

The Leahi Lounge really has no comparable in the Starwood chain. Almost 180 deg views. Spent hours in the lounge mesmerized by the ocean. Generally 4 staff on hand with unlimited beer and wine. Unfortunately closes up at 8 pm.

Typical day: 7 am espresso and light breakfast fare. 8 am swim in the infinity pool. 10 am lay out on the beach or poolside for a nap. Late lunch at hotel restaurant (I would not eat at RUMFIRE). Walk Kalakaua Ave. 5pm Back at the Leahi for a drink and view the ocean. Take a snooze on the lanai. Out for dinner at 9 pm. Back at hotel for midnight. Repeat.
