firstly my usual username is WEEBOBBY but I cant connect through facebook for some reason

i have had amex platinum for a year and have just made the cut off date for year two at £300.

i would say my amex was worth the first year @ £300 with the 42,000 sign up points and points accrued and the other advantages i have had along the way.

however i am hardly travelling for work anymore. and my next big holidays are january 2013 - australia and august/september 2013 - new york/miami/caribean

i am probably just going to cancel the card to be honest even altho i just made the £300 cut.

i have an SPG Starwood AMEX and will just use that for purchases points.
im an IHG Ambassador and use the cash and points trick a lot.
combined with websites like jetsetter / hotwire / search engines etc i really dont see the benefit of the Amex card anymore.........

would these likely stay in place till expiry if i cancelled my amex now?
