i will be in frankfurt for two days one night (staying near the train station). can anyone advise me which is the best option for me?
1) should i buy rimowa luggage in frankfurt town, if so, can tell me where is the shop located in town?
2) should i buy rimowa luggage in airport, if so, where is the shop located, is it before the security or after?
3) frankfurt will be my last stop in EU and will be going back to singapore, do anyone know if i buy rimowa luggage in town, can i claim VAT refund in airport? as i will throw away my old luggage in the hotel and use the new luggage if i go for option 1. the general rule is that in order to claim VAT, the item bought should not be use.
4) if i buy from airport, hopefully the shop is located before VAT custom stamp and before checking in so that i can move my things from old luggage to new luggage. can anyone advise me what should be the steps if i want to buy luggage in the airport, move my things from old luggage to new luggage, claim VAT, checking my newly bought luggage. i am just worried that the rimowa shop is located after the VAT custom stamp then i will lose the chance to claim VAT in this case. can anyone share his/her experience here?
