i always tend to prefer the right side 'K' seat arriving or departing Hong Kong. i have been lucky with some really nice sunrises landing at HKG at 6.30am.
the one time i got a 'D' seat in a A340 in 2009, the pilot took us over the city so everyone with window sets could get photos, he even said it was a good photo-op which i thought was rather good. not that i could see, lol
